Fear, Doubt

Our doubts are traitors, and make us lose the good we oft might win, by fearing to attempt.

Of all the low passions, the fear is the most damned.

The visible horror has less power over the soul than the imagined horror.

Pain, Guilt, Suffering, Anger

To cry is to diminish the deepness of pain.

When we are born, we cry that we are come to this great stage of fools.

To ignore the facts does not change them.

Anger is a poison we drink hoping the other will die.

Wherever sorrow is, relief would be.

Everyone is capable of dominating a painexcept those who feel.

Suspicion always haunts the guilty conscience, the thief sees a policeman in every shadow.

When gripping grief the heart would wound,

And doleful dumps the mind oppress,

Then music with her silver sound
With speedy help doth lend redress.

To weep is to make less the depth of grief.

We suffer a lot the few things we lack and we enjoy too little the many things we have.

He jests at scars that never felt a wound…

Riches, Money, Power

He is well paid that is well satisfied.

Power is the school of crime.

No matter how many coins you toss into the fountain

or how many fingers you cross.

If it’s not meant to be,

it won’t happen.

Only beggars can count their riches.

The upper class rich men should pay more taxes. It is not fair that some men should be happier than others.

And you learn that you really can endure. You really are strong. And you can go farther than you thought you could go.

If money go before, all ways do lie open.
