Transform the lover into the beloved,
By virtue of much imagination;
I have nothing else to long for
since what I long for is already within me
if in it my soul is transformed,
what more does my body long for?
only within itself can it find peace
for my body and soul are linked.

But this beautiful and pure demigoddess
like an accident with its subject,
who with my soul is in accord,
exists in my thoughts as a mere idea;
the pure and living love that I’m made of,
as simple matter seeks to gain form.
